About ELS Cotton. ELS Cotton, or Extra-Long Staple Cotton, is an ultra-soft fabric comprised of long cotton fibers. ELS cotton is used to produce the finest linens made for bedding. Generally, fibers are longer than 34 millimeters. Fabrics made of long-staple cotton are desired not just for a superior feel, but because they fray less, pill less, wrinkle less, and even fade less than fabrics made with their short-staple counterparts.

Cotton/Poly Blends or 100% Cotton? Blends typically cost less than their all-cotton counterpart, wrinkle slightly less, though will still wrinkle somewhat, and last a slightly longer with mindful laundering practices. 100% cotton provides a cooler night’s sleep, is more breathable, and is recommended if budget can afford it.
